A Place For Pidge
A Place for Pidge is an original children's book following a pigeon who can't fly but dreams of finding a place to call her own. As she wanders a farm and meets the animals along the way, she learns that home is less about where you land and more about how it feels. The book was created in partnership with DERT, a social enterprise that turns books into fundraising tools for literacy programs, ensuring every child has access to books and the experience of being read to.
Project Description
Before finalizing Pidge's design, I explored a range of illustration styles and character forms, experimenting with shape, proportion, and expression to find a visual language that felt warm and accessible for a young audience. The goal was a character that communicated emotion through simplicity."
